YOU JUST DON'T GET USED TO IT, EVEN AFTER 20 YEARS

I just received an email that Gib W, a long time friend had a cardiac arrest yesterday afternoon, is now on a ventilator, and is non-responsive. I don’t expect for this to depress you as most of you have no idea who he is. Gib is a good man, and English professor at Anderson University, and his wife Georgia was one of the finest nurses I’ve ever known.
I tell you about this since these are the things that make it hard to live far away from those people who mean so much to you and where it is impossible to be of any good to them when they need the support.
